The Little Metal Dog Show – Episode 5

The lack of updates for a couple of days generally only means one thing – I’m working on a new episode of the podcast. True to form, the latest one is up for you to listen to! Just right click and save. The show will also be up on iTunes soon.

Episode 5 has another pair of interviews from more people with a tale to tell. First up, if you’ve ever been on the wrong end of a rule book, your saviour is here. Peter Gifford – better known to the users of Board Game Geek as Universal Head – has put together nearly 150 crib sheets and rewrites of some of the best games out there. You can see his work at www.universalhead.com and www.headlesshollow.com (but be sure to listen to what he has to say first!). Accompanying Peter is a chat with Gary Dicken from the Ragnar Brothers (www.ragnarbrothers.co.uk) – winners of the UK Games Expo’s Best Game award for their latest release Workshop Of The World, we talk about the history of the company and what they have planned for the future. I’m also joined by my mate Chris Swaffer who’ll be helping out with the questions from now on!

As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you can email littlemetaldog@gmail.com or add a comment here. Also, if you’re feeling particularly lovely, why not leave a review on iTunes?

Why not hold a Miniature painting comp? The best one wins a prize? (And that way we get to see how bad everyone’s painting skills are..?)

How do you get hold of such collectable game rule sets? I have been searching for some of the mentioned ones you have for years !
Any chance any one out there can convert some of the better card based game rules into RPG rules? Certainly ones like the bike and car racing ones and a few ship (Pirate) ones …
